Interested in going to Africa with us this summer?

November 30, 2008

Are you interested in going with us to Uganda this summer?  The next trip is going to be around the first couple of weeks in June.  We are going to be doing outreaches with music and drama as well as reaching out to schools and churches.

It is going to be incredible!

The estimated cost is somewhere on one side or the other of $2,750.

We will be having a meeting soon for anyone that is at all interested in going.  At this meeting we will answer any questions that you might have.  This meeting has not yet been scheduled, but it will be happening sometime in the beginning of next year.

So start asking God now if He wants you in Africa in 2009 :)

The Missions Banquet was RIPPING

November 24, 2008

The first annual project A1:8 missions banquet went better than we could have ever imagined.  It was a success on every level.  Here are some of the stats…

- 185 adults and 55 kids

- 30 people got their passport applications started

- Around $4,000 raised last night and if everyone fulfills their pledges for the year it will be a little over $14,000 for missions given.  Hallelujah!!!

- The service was incredible…  I cried 3 times

- The unity and momentum was really noticeable.  God is doing something here in our midst.

THANKS, THANKS, THANKS to everyone who came and made last night such a huge success.  It is because of you that we can touch the lives that we do.  You Rock!!!

Pics and video to be coming in the next couple of days.  Check back often to see the updates.

I love doing life with you,

Heath

We are just one week away from our first Project A1:8 missions banquet.  I am so excited to get the ball rolling.  We have so many things that we already do together to help people, but there is also so much more that we can do.

Here is one of the main principles we believe in when it comes to missions:  ”God will make happen for you what you make happen for the less fortunate.”

See ya Next Sunday night at 5:00 at the Winamac campus.  This is an event you won’t want to miss :)

New Sermon Series

November 11, 2008

This Sunday is the first of our 3 week sermon series on missions called PROJECT A1:8.  (go figure)

I can’t wait to see what God is going to do through each of us as we study what our priviledges and duties are concerning the global work of God.

I expect this series to change the hearts and minds of many.  Lets see what God can do these next 3 Sundays :)

Look at these faces

November 3, 2008

Here are a couple of videos that show you the reason we do what we do.  These faces are beyond precious and deserve a chance at life just like everyone else.  Though these videos were not filmed by us, they sure could have been.  Those of us that have been there have seen kids like this many many times.

Thanks for all you do to make reaching these people possible :)
