Upcoming Missions Banquet

October 28, 2008

Hey Everyone,

I wanted to invite you to our upcoming missions banquet.  We are so excited to do our very first missions banquet.  Here is the dealio..

- November 23rd at 5:00 at the Winamac Campus of Church of the Heartland

- The banquet is free, but we need you to RSVP so we can figure out how many catered meals to order.  To RSVP online, email Pastor Jim Howard at pastorjimhoward@yahoo.com.  Let him know how many adults and kids under the age of 12 will be attending

- We will be raising money for several different parts of the Project A1:8 vision

- Not only will we have some great food, but we will have a first class night on international fun and fellowship

- If you have clothing from other countries, go ahead and wear it…  You won’t look wierd with everyone dressing that way :)

- There will be a special “taste of the nations” table where you can sample food from all over the world.  (don’t worry, nothing to exotic there)

- If you don’t have your passport yet, you can fill out the paperwork and get your picture taken right there.

- There will be music, drama, food, fun and fellowship.  This is going to be a night that you won’t want to miss!!!

Please, please, please do your best to be there.  I promise you that you won’t regret it :)

October 23, 2008

Welcome to the Project A1:8 blog.

I am so excited about this website.  The point of this site is to be the rallying point for everyone who is interested in what is happening around the world with the missions works and friends that we have.

Remember to check back often.

Oh and one more thing…  If you have any pictures or videos of missions trips that you have gone on feel free to email those to me (Heath Hiatt) at pastorhiatt@hotmail.com or Shawn Duhnovsky at pastorsmd@yahoo.com

Growing Kids Ministry in Uganda

October 14, 2008

Kids ministry in Uganda is beginning to take root! As Church of the Heartland Mission team visited Churches this last summer they connected with the kids pastors and their ministries. The Lord laid it on the heart of some of the members of the team to sow a seed of supplies into the kids ministry in Pastor William’s Church. Upon the arrival of the supplies the kids and the Kids Pastor (as seen in photo) were so excited. They began to use the tools that were sent to them and their ministry began to grow. The last report we heard, from Pastor Williams the Senior Pastpr of the Church, the kids ministry has doubled in size in the last 2 months. It now is one of the top kids ministry in the community.
